Encourage the Kiddos to GO OUT AND PLAY! Book Review

My kiddos sometimes need a little motivation to Go Out and Play. Nothing big, just an introduction to something new for them to try. Favorite Outdoor Games from KaBook offers Go Out and Play, a book filled with great outdoor activities that are easy to set up and easy to implement. I loved the reminders of childhood games I once played and my kiddos love the adventures.

Over the summer they worked their way through the pages discovering hours of fun. I enjoyed playing along or watching them create memories similar to my own. Plus there were many ideas that I wasn't privy too making it seem like a double bonus to the kiddos.

Get Out and Play is filled with colorful images and step-by-step instruction making this book easy to embrace. There are 70 games inside the pages offering something for children of all ages. We drew hopscotch grids--turns out my husband was the only one who had no idea what a hoppy-taw is. There is the game of sardines which my children giggled through. Games like SPUD and Blob which were interesting. Kick the can, freeze tag, blindman's bluff, red light green light, four square, duck duck goose and more.

I really loved the section that gave tips for adults on how to encourage and facilitate outdoor play as well as resources on how to help create more play spaces in our own communities.

This book continues to be a hit at our house and a great reminder to Go Out and Play!
