 We read every night at our house.  It's my downtime with the kiddos. A time for us to go on magical adventures and just unwind. Recently, we have been going on an adventure with this book:

It is even magical for me. My girls have always wanted to be mermaids. The Beauty Queen, on a hot summer day, in the pool, declares she is one! In Last Night I Swam with a MermaidLast Night I Swam with a Mermaid the beauty captured in the pictures had The Divine Miss M stopping me mid-sentence to ask, "Wait! Mermaids really are real?" Trust me, this has never happened...not when we watched Disney's The Little Mermaid, not when they watched Peter Pan. She's eight and this book suddenly made it all very real.

It's a glimpse into our oceans. A message about recycling and water conservation. It's seeing the depths of the ocean up close in vivid colors giving purpose to its preservation and beauty!

It's a book that begins our dreams, launches our imaginations, and has us coming back for more time and time again. It's truly one of the most beautiful books I've ever seen! It would be the perfect gift for anyone young or old with a passion for all things magical and beautiful!

Happy Birthday, Cupcake! by Terry Border

  I received Happy Birthday, Cupcake in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own. Happy Birthday, Cupcake is a fun book. You may know the mastermind author behind this 32 page picture book-- Terry Border.  I first learned about Terry Border through the fun BuzzFeed article where he created scenes based on some of the most famous children's books. Border is also the creator of the photography site Bent Objects .  But back to his newest project,  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CUPCAKE!
